Have you ever eaten grits and if you have and liked them, how do you prepare them?!
Answers: Personally I like mine with salt, sugar and butter.
I like them with butter salt and pepper. they are good with diced onions fried up and added too. I like the onions cooked a little dark too
buy some
Is a southern gal thru and thru....Grits are the 5th food group. Mine give me butter and salt and pepper....Nothing better...
I ate them, I didnt like it, its unpalatable, its like bland barley, I prepare them with butter, salt, and cayanne pepper and on a non stick saucepan.
I love grits. Being born and raised in the south, it's like a law. :)
I prefer them not too runny and I load them up with butter and cheese and a little salt.
Raised in the mid-atlantic area. I don't like grits but I never had them growing up. I LOVE cream of wheat tho (same texture)!
I eat them when I go to Cracker Barrel to eat. I like them the same way you do. My hubby puts cheese and catsup on them I think. He would fix them when I don't fix him anything.
I don't really like them.
MMM.. they don't sell them here, but I love them! I like them with lots of butter & sugar. My dad prefers them with pepper with eggs scrambled in.
Love em'. Butter and salt for me. Savory with cheese and a bit of garlic are great too. As for sugar...I'll pass on the sweetness :)
yes, I like it
make it with milk or cream
add popcorn cheeseoning
I like it different styles but with cheese and butter and salt is good
you can also try garlic salt, or sugar or syrup
I love them. I prefer the slow cooked kind over the instant packets. I like them plain (salted) or sometimes with butter. My ex boyfriend liked them with sour cream or cream cheese stirred in. That's good too, but plain is fine for me. I'm allergic to wheat, so I often have them with my eggs instead of toast.
Just add butter salt and pepper. I can't stand runny grits. I like mine to be more of a paste then soupy. The good thing about making them thick is you can use the left overs to fry up grit patties. Just add veg oil and pack the grits in to patties and brown and serve.
I have eaten grits, and I love, love, love them with lots and lots of cheese! Yum!
During cold weather especially, GRITS RULE!! LOL. I prefer the slow cooked ones, but if you're going to make the 'instant' ones I would suggest using milk for at least half the water. Don't forget to salt them well when you start making them. If you salt them a bit extra while cooking them, you won't need to put quite so much salt on when they're done. After you get them cooked, mound them in a bowl, add salt and pepper, then a blob of butter and let it melt into the grits. A bit of sharp Cheddar never hurts either.......just wonderful and will fill you up for hours.
