If part of a cooked sweet potato turns black/dark, is it not safe to eat?!

Question: It is steam cooked, it looks more like a bruise (like a dab of black paint put in, stirred a little, then solidified)

i think u shouldn't eat it just in-case theres something wrong with it .

just bake another one do u wont end up in the ER for eating a black spotted potato
