Why has nestle changed the shape of a tube of smarties from round to hexagon ??????!
Answers: ONLY SMARTIES HAVE THE ANSWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It helps to keep then on the shelf.
So they can stack them easier in boxes and on the shelves....they don't roll off.
really??
maybe just to change the look so ppl will notice them...
who gives a shcit maybe marketdung . sincw nestle took over products became schit because of cost cutting
hexagons are more easily stored as they fit into each other, sounds pointless to save an extra few centremetres in a box but when you deport countless tubes a day it isn't
to make people ask that question.... :P
or just to have a change in product design.... i can imagine that having flat edges would also be easyer to stack.
kids were choking on the little lids. plus it's easier to stack them.
the world as we know it is coming to an end - a horrible, nasty, messy end. the change in the shape of smartie is proof.
seriously, i would bet that the change has something to do with the machine that makes the candy. since smarties are a candy that is made of a powder that is pressed into a disk under tons of pressure, the new shape may be necessary to increase production. also, the company may have found that replacing the die (the part that shapes the candy) was far to costly to produce as round.
i just confused myself. i know what i am trying to say, but it is coming out weird. hopefully, someone else knows.
if you start a bring back the round smartie movement, i will join.
pagan pie princess thats what smarties are in the states. Smarties in England and Canada are like our m&m's but are flatter and rounder. They look like a spree except that they are chocolate inside.
To spoil the fun of firing the lid out of the tube.
Seriously, probably safety - so kids don't choke on the lids.
To stop them rolling away
Really?? Maybe to keep evil counterfeiters from counterfeiting them.
Good question. They are no fun anymore. I used to look forward to seeing what letter you got on the lid, and popping them all round the house after.
I've never seen a round or hexagon tube of Smarties. Been buying them in cardboard boxes as long as I can remember (and had a box yesterday).
I'm in Canada.
Only smarties have the answer !! (haha)
chris l - you beet me to it - smartie pants (haha)
I think it has something to do with it being more economically friendly, there is no plastic lid on the hexagon ones they are all cardboard and therefore easier to be recycled.
Well thats my guess anyway!! lol
the devil made them do it?
