the healthy choice meals and all those in the frozen section worked best for me. it is mostly about portion control, and it tell you the exact calorie and fat count, so you know how hard to work to burn what you ate off.
good luck!
become a fruit and veggie fan if you want to eat better
wanna love to learn a fruit? I jusrt discovered honeycrisp apples. Willikers they are good.
Lean cuisine, Apple cinnamon quaker oatmeal (weight control or 50% fat-free), granola bars, potato chips
rice with some low fat fixings, like tomatoes or low fat turkey meat ground in. Beans of any kind. A salad with low fat dressing....And one of my favorites is low fat soups....with fat free crackers they are hearty and filling but low cal and good for you at the same time.....
Salads are great, veggies are great, lots of granola and whole wheat cereals. As far as salads, you can put anything in a salad, a little shredded cheese, brocolli, carrots, bacon, I put oranges in my salad, mmmmm good. apples too. But if you don't like fruit, there's plenty of things you could add. you can make a meal just with a salad. Slim fast drinks in between meals is good, they are actually good for you and fill you up.
Fresh whole foods are the best, not processed.
Reduce red meat with saturated fats, eliminate trans-fats.
Choose more fish, like salmon & tuna.
Go for variety & colour in fruits & vegetables & nuts.
Avoid white sugar & flour & starches.
Choose whole grains.
anything fresh is good as long as you stay away from those processed or frozen foods, anything that you can cook by yourself, load some veges to your cart, like green beans, carrots, cabbages, then some protine like lean meat of anykind, and fish, remember no matter how healthy you think you eat if your not eating in moderation you will still end up packing a lot down your belly,so just be sensible when you eat, drink lots of water, stay away from sweats
I got this cookbook called Deceptively Delicious..it's way of hiding fruits and vegetables in all your normal foods..so far we have liked everything..you can't taste any difference..My hubby is very picky eater and he has eaten everything I have cooked even stuff with cauliflower, broccoli and carrots..none of which he likes..good luck!
I really think you should experiment with some different fruits to see if you can find a few you like. Most people like bananas and apples. There are various sorts of apples--macintosh, cortland, granny smith, etc.--with different tastes and textures. You might also want to try buying frozen blueberries and mixing them with plain yougurt.
As to vegetables, I like baby spinach (as a basis of a salad), broccoli, stringbeans.
You should probably try to cut back on red meat and increase the amount of fish and chicken you eat.
You should also cut way back on the use of vegetable oil and butter and substitute olive oil. If you can, drink seltzer instead of regular soda. Choose whole grain products when you can--bread, cereal, and pasta.

Good luck.
Try to eat as much organic foods as possible. Also drink at least eight glasses of pure water ( not tap water) every day. Tap water has chlorine and fluoride in it and is poison to your health. Chlorine scars your arteries. Stay away from diet sodas , low fat , no fat and all man made stuff. Don't take prescription, or non prescription drugs-they all have side effects ( consult with your doctor before coming off any drug). Be happy, think good thoughts, eight hours sleep , use a shower head filter that filters out chlorine and your skin and hair will be so healthy, not to mention your lungs. These things will greatly help.
cheese, yogurt, veggies, milk, and try making fruit smoothies intead of fruit.
Whole wheat products, such as wheat bread, whole grain pastas, and Triscuit whole grain crackers (I LOVE those). Vegetables & fruits, I like brocoli, bell peppers, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, grapefruits the best. (Remember fresh is better than frozen and frozen is better than canned), Potatoes are okay, and make sure to get lean meats such as chicken and fish.
