Where can I get....... ?!
Thanks x
Answers: Where can I get organic vegetarian food from? Like can you get it from your local store? Is it cheaper/dearer or just the same as normal food? And pluss how do you know if it is organic vegetarian food?
Thanks x
You can get it from most supermarkets, i go to safeway (same as vons and others) and they have a great natural section thats like a mini whole foods. target supercenters also have a great selection. my favorite brand is Amy's.
It is usually quite a bit more expensive if it is organic, because it can be.
To know if it is organic, you have to look for a USDA organic logo. Also, it will say somewhere on the package "--% USDA certified organic" (with whatever %).
To know if it is vegetarian, in most cases you have to just read the ingredients list. Be vigilant at first because some ingredients can slip by you, but after a while you get pretty good at it and very fast too. I've been a veg for 6 years and i read the labels on every product i buy. Sometimes you get lucky and on an ingredients list it will say something like "Ingredients (VEGAN):................" then you know right off the bat.
Hope this helps!
At the grocery store. They have organically grown vegetables which are usually more expensive & marked as organic.
