Why can't we buy hard-boiled eggs at the store?!

Question: Wouldn't it be convenient to walk in and get a carton of hard-boiled eggs? We can practically buy everything else at the grocery store. You would think after all these years someone would have found a way to hard boil eggs in mass quantities.

That is a phenomenal question! I couldn't agree more! In fact, prior to coming to work last night, I hard boiled a few eggs to take as a snack. Had I been able to go to a store and pick some up I'd have saved the time!

dont be soft pal!

haha..that be cool though. but won't hard boiled eggs rot?

what if you want to make scrambled eggs? there is no going back... lazy

because not everyone wants hard boiled eggs. and if they mass produce it and only few people buy them, they'll get rotten and hundreds of eggs will be spoiled.

Try a different store. Where I shop, Publix Supermarket, you can get a package of hard boiled eggs. They come vacuum sealed, six to the package. They're in the refrigerated section, near the cheeses, and they cost about twice as much as regular eggs.

I dunno, but when I was in Japan, there were vending machines on almost every street corner and many of them vended food. Guess what was inside some of them: hard boiled eggs! Go figure....

You can buy hard boiled eggs.. where i live you can get single boiled eggs but theyre pricey like 70 cents each

You might want to visit the salad bar or deli counter.

because they rot quickly.

where I live you can get them died at easter time but they are not as fresh and dont taste as good as a fresh one

Lazy just boil it

this actually happens in india where a lot of people dont have any time fr breakfast its somewhat like the fastfood counterpart of india

Ever since the film Porky's arrived on the big screen, "The Man" has outlawed Hard-Boiled eggs from being produced in mass quantities, to disable the laughter of millions of people.

Have you tried your deli section? They have them for salads and stuff!

because of the risk of e coli....hard boiled eggs only have a very short shelf life. There was a Gourmet store that had them, around here, but they had to stop. It was expensive and they had to throw out huge amounts. It would be a great idea...perhaps there is a Mom and Pop store near you that might think about it. It is especially good with fresh eggs...They sell them at convince stores for the lunch crowd too.
I think I have seen them at the 7/11 store, but for sell one egg at a time.

Why would you want to do that? They are so easy to do yourself.
Put cold water in pan to cover eggs, salt water,(this is so the shell comes off easier. Also they come off easier if they are the older ones.)put in eggs, bring to boil, let boil 3 min.
You can experiment with the time they boil to get the just right for you.
I don't remember where but I have seen them in some store.

you can in Florida, epsecially in hispanic shops. Our Publix, win dixie, & walmart sell them. But I don't know if you have Publix & win dixie where you live, I'm in Florida.

Who said you could not buy them? I've seen them in many stores. Although this might be a bit different, think about the Deli section of any major grocery store chain. They all sell deviled eggs and such, and I've seen hard-boiled eggs too.
You have to ask to get. Try the Deli sections.

We can buy them here in Cali.

but over time they're gonna rot =/
I don't eat rotten eggs lol

I bought some pickled in brine in a jar......never again......I'll make my own.

They call them "boneless chicken dinners" and it is sad that someone cannot boil water and add eggs for like 12 minutes to make them hard....very sad...

lol - that's a good but random question.. i'm not quite sure really.

the hard-boiled eggs at the store we cant by bcoz it gets rot

They are saying check the salad bar because they have 4 packs of them there. Most people don't want mass quantities of them because they go bad. If you want a lot buy multiple 4 packs.
People can hard boil them in mass quantities. So they have found a way.
