Who loves their 99c or Dollar Store? What are some things you buy there ?!
I was amazed to buy lovely grapes, ziploc (brand name) bags, canned milk/condense, 3 bell peppers - fresh.

I love the dollar store! I buy shower curtain liners, shower bath mats, birthday cards, and anything else I can get in the basket.
I have bought kitchen sponges and Arizona iced tea
I have a love/hate relationship with my dollar stores. . . i go there to buy some bags for presents and other things that are outragoiusly priced at other comercial stores. but, im alergic to some of the things that i bought from there

YEs, the Dollar General style stores are tremendously popular, particularly in the rural towns of the US that cannot support a large Walmart. They are sort of like mini Walmarts...
Our got a huge supply of 'Mexican' brand foods and house supplies-refried beans, churro mix, Abuelo Hot Chocolate, candles with saints, hair products. Mind you that our small town has virtually no Mexican Americans (More Asians).
Mt personal favorite is the dollar general brand of diet cola-made with sucralose, not saccharin. And I have been know to pick up the occaisional can of pork brains for a brain sandwich....
wrapping paper, school supplies, baking supplies, and cookies like newtons and oreos for so much cheaper!!
I don't know if it counts, but a large clean Big Lots store is hard to beat. You can always find little weird food items there, very often gourmet items and organics, at great prices. It's a good way to try on a new taste.
I also like their health and beauty section, they usually have my fav brands of shampoo, etc in the "old" scent that I like better than the "improved" one.
They have a lot of organizing and decor items as well.
I always buy my canned nuts there - much cheaper then the grocery store. Also their bagged pecans are very good. Garbage bags, laundry soap, cards.
