This makes 4-5 servings:
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp cocoa
1/2 cup sugar
dash salt
1/2 cup water
4 cups milk
1/2 to 1 tsp vanilla
Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in saucepan. Gradually stir in water. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil & stir 2 minutes. Add milk. Stir and heat to serving temperature. Do not boil after milk is added. Remove from heat. Add vanilla.
The best thing that I have found is to add about 2 Tablespoons of vanilla liquid coffee creamer to the milk (coffeemate is best) before heating up. I then use regular quik to make chocolate. Its just makes the milk rich and creamy.
The best recipe is the one on the Hershey Cocoa can with a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon added per cup. oooooH!! Heaven!!!
Adding honey, whipped cream and a pinch of sugar tastes sweet but fine. Adding 1 grape, 1 orange, 1 blueberry, 1 strawberry, and 1 cherry Jolly Rancher jelly bean will make a jolly fruity taste, or add a spearmint chewing gum stick for a powerful, minty fresh taste.
No, I like Swiss Miss. With the li'l marshmallows.
Okay well u can make white hot chocolate out of milk, vanilla extract, and sugar, it's really not 'chocolate' but niether is white chocolate! and this tastes awesome.
