Sorry, I don't know what movie you are referring to, but I do know that this line (or similar words) have been used in quite a few songs, including one by Elton John and another by Billy Joel.
To "have ones cake and eat it too" is a figure of speech first recorded in the 1500's. There have been quite a few changes to the original saying since.
