Why is Starbucks so popular when it's coffee tastes so bitter?!
Answers: Even 7 eleven and Mcdonalds coffee taste much better.

Well, they do offer more than just coffee. I'm partial to chocolate and esspresso, and a venti hot chocolate with a shot of esspresso is pretty much my favorite thing there. They also have killer frapaccinos. But if you don't like their coffee, don't drink it. A place is only as popular as you make it . . . .

I know what you mean,I have tried some of starbucks different types of coffee and I have gagged because it was so strong and bitter,not kidding! :-(
I think a lot of people go to Starbucks because there is a Starbucks on every fricken corner.
I also think people go for all the flavoring and goodies they put in their drinks.
I personally think Java City is the worst ever.
It's because of all the add-ons and substitutions you can do with Starbucks. McDonalds and 7-11 might taste better alone, but those places can't give you a caffeine-free sugar free nonfat cinnamon dulce latte without whip and light on the sugar sprinkle the way Starbuck's can. Plus, the stores are set up to be more "homey" looking than McDonalds', plus all their packaging is prettier (cups, coffee beans, chocolates, etc.), which does make a difference, obviously. And so many of them have free wi-fi and comfortable chairs and game tables, that it's easy to attract customers into the store like that. It's really more about the atmosphere, the environment, and the highly specialized particular tastes of the clientele that place them above the other places, even if the coffee alone tastes somewhat bitterer than others.

i like their coffee personally, but there's soo much more all their drinks are sooo good!!! i like the atmosphere of it aswell
starbucks has better atmosphere than other restaurants or coffe places.thair atmosphere is not like mcdonalds where people keep on farting every minute and its to hot in mcdonalds which makes it worse. well i never went to starbucks i always go to tim hortons.its the perfect atmsphere and they have the best ice caps.but starbucks has frappuccino,cappuciono,mixed blended everything.mcdonalds and tim hortns has one kind of coffe and one kind of cappuccino.THEY BOTH SUCK. caribous is better its really cool.

The first thing I noticed was the burnt orange and ochre yellow coloring. Orange is associated with stability, reassurance, warmth, and is thought to aid digestion

It looks cold and uninviting, cause they're main purpose to make money and to get people in and out of there as quick as possible.
