What is a good way for a cafeteria to not run out of food?!

Question: There are three lunches with about 250 or around there in each lunch. What is a good method to use that way the cafeteria does not run out of food? It is a project that I am working on.

Well I cant answer accurately becuase I dont know how many lunch periods you have. When I was in school we add two lunch periods. 1 for HS and 1 for MS. If they serve the same meals for each lunch. Find out how much the personel order for the week. Devide what they get by the number of lunch periods per week. You should get a rough estimate of how much will be served each lunch meal for that week. Then you have to account for how many people come to eat. Get an average head count for one week for all lunches served. Take the average headcount for a week and compare it to how much is served or ordered for one week. If your numbers dont look about even then you can see that you either have to order more or less for that week or the staff has to cook more or less depending on what the numbers show. Hope that helps

make sure you have enough food to feed 250+ people then you wont run out!!

make enough servings for 300 at least and it should be cool

The trick is to run out of food. You must not have anything left. If you plan to feed 750 lunch then plan of serving 725 or even 700. Not everyone always shows and if everyone is on a schedule then not everyone will have the time to finish a big lunch anyways.
