Is dried or powdered egg still used in the kitchen, and if so, what name does it go under, in UK supermarkets?!
Answers: also is it yolk..white or mixture....and what is its most popular use in the kitchen?
I use powdered egg quite a lot it is made by Super Cook and is for sale in most supermarkets, I buy mine from Tesco's it is called Egg White powder, and can be used for quite a lot of dishes savoury and sweet.
I use mine mostly for meringues and Royal icing.

interesting 1 this.
Yes pastry chefs use it sometimes but you may need to find it at a bakers wholsaler. It may also be at a baking supplies store. I have only seen powdered egg whites (& meringue powder, but I think this is different than what you want).
If you go to Sainsbury's ask at the bakery they I'm sure will take you to it.
It's a product I don't really understand either....!!!
