Sandwiches or wraps. Help me with ideas?!

Question: College student.
No microwave at school.
Usually pretty broke.
Must be common ingredients and cheap. ?

Ideas for cold sandwiches or wraps, or something else cold?

Already eat cold-cut and deli sandwiches. I really need something a little different.
Thanks!

Try chopping up some tomatoes and cucumber and tossing them with a bit of olive oil and a bit of feta cheese. If you add in a dash or two of black pepper it's even better. Serve with pita or whole grain bread and you have a tasty meal. Another idea is to get some ricotta cheese and spread on one slice of bread or pita (maybe even tortilla) and top with some chopped veggies or diced meats. If you feel like something sweet honey or jam is divine. On the desperate end, there's always the method one friend used to survive college: tortillas, hot dogs, American cheese, and hot sauce or ranch dressing. I never said it was good but it works.
Also, check out your local thrift stores and campus papers for hot plates and microwaves. You can often find one cheap enough to work. Good luck!

Why don't you have a microwave? That'd be the first thing I'd buy when I go to college...

You could buy generic Tortilla's at the store and make wraps. Put some lettuce with turkey or ham with cheese, mustard or mayo, and tomato slices.

For the sandwiches, buy bread and Pepperoni and shredded cheese and make some ''pizza'' sandwiches.

You can swap the 2 ideas if you want to.

Hope this helps,
ADIDAS

If you want something that's usually cheap, filling and tastie, I suggest Humus. It's basically chick peas, olive oil and spices mixed together in a food processor. You can buy it in the grocery store or make it yourself.

I love to make Humus sandwiches with black olives, fresh onions, lettuce and tomatoe wrapped up in Pita Bread.

ramen noodles!!!
just need to buy a water heater.

I chop up a cooked chicken breast and put some pepperjack cheese and some ranch dressing and wrap it in a flour tortilla and nuke it for about 25 seconds and its not bad.

how about both?

You need to get a microwave. Check craiglists or bulletin boards around school. That would open up your food options tremendously!
