I'm cooking steak tonight. What can I do to make it tender?!
Answers: I already started marinating it and I used a mallet and fork to pierce the meat before I started the marinating. What else can I besides marinating and beating it with mallet and fork to make it tender. I'm going to cook it in the oven....what temperature, should I cook it slow, fast? etc. I need some ideas and advice
cook it slowly and use a good marinade such as allegro. Cook steaks with the marinade
it depends on your marinade, but different flavored vinegars are my secret weapon for making meats super juicy and tender (I use malt or red wine with beef dishes)
Cook it slow and on low temp (like 325 F) Maybe cover dish in foil to keep moisture in.
Or, if you want to broil it (hot hot temperatures for a short cook time) you can seal in the juices. Check out Rachel Ray's cooking site. She always broils steak!
Cook as high as possible close to the broiler, flip once and your done.
BEAT IT BEFORE MARINADING IT AND IT SHOULD BE TENDER AND JUICY. MAKING ME HUNGRY NOW!
SORRY!!!!!!!! but NNEEVVEERR POKE HOLE IN STEAK!!!
now for the real deal if poke and pound it you give it all kinds of places for the juices to run out. i really dont know what to tell you next if it were me and i had to cook that beat up meat i would slow cook in a crock pot and make fijatas out of it. i am a steak lover and have cooked many like what you describe i'm sorry but i never had one beated and turned out tender. you might want to check next time before you start in on one with this link
well doesnt everything u make come out to be the best thing there is? i think so, so dont worry about it.
If you buy good quality steak you don't need all the torturing and marinating.
