Are there any pescatarians here?!
Answers: I am seriously considering stopping eating meat because I just don't even enjoy it anymore, and I don't see any point in eating something I don't like just for the sake of it! Why did you stop eating meat, and how hard did you find it with pressure from family? My husband is a chef and I know he will find it strange, any tips or advice?
The majority of protien in my diet is derived from fish but I do include small amounts of other protien sources. Fish by volume is one of the best protien sources as it is in the 90% digestable range as opposed to beef which is in the 15 to 20% range. Also the fats from fish are very good for you so good for you in your decision. Fish such as shark and swordfish are nice firm textured flesh and makes the transition from red meats a little nicer and I do include shell fish and crustaceans which of course are also very delicious.
I would like to see how you would cope, starving, in some third World Country, and not having anything to eat for several day's or longer? No insult meant.
By meat, I assume you mean red meat (i.e. beef, pork and lamb). There is always poultry (chicken, turkey etc.,) I mainly eat fish because I find it easily digestable and more healthy.....red meat because of the fat content is out of the question for me as I have no gall bladder. Stand firm, why should you eat food which you don't like and do not find appetising.
Be yourself, you are you're own person.
Good luck
