Can you believe a man 53 years old has never heard of TAPIOCA PUDDING?!

Question: Yes.
We meet people all the time who are full grown adults yet have never tried very common things found nearly everywhere around where we live... such as avocados! That's the most recent one. My wife was astounded when one of her co-workers said he'd never tried it and was asking what you do with it etc. And she was telling him how to pick a ripe one and how to, just eat it, like you would any other fruit. Other people in her office overheard their conversation and joined in... they also had never tried one!! She thought it was really bizarre -- you've never had guacamole or... just an avocado?? None of them had! The following week, people were coming up to her and saying things like, "Hey, I tried an avocado over the weekend and, wow, they are great!" "Umm... yeah... they are..." She didn't know what to say... it was so weird. I don't know, never trying an avocado around here would be like a Chinese person never trying bok-choy... or something like that.

That's just the tip of the iceberg... just one example of many.

So, give that 53 year old some damned pudding already, he doesn't know what he's missing. By the way, the last time I had tapioca pudding was about a month and a half ago... so there you go... it's not a very rare event, in my life at least. It's healthy (depending on what you put in it) and tasty and kids love it too, so it must be good.

...Thats funny.

He must have just come out of a lo-o-o-ong coma.

Its your decision if you want to believe the man who is 53 years old.....

Wat has it got to do with him not have heard of tapioca pudding

I believe it - I knew a 23 year old woman who didn't know what salsa was called because she called it "mexican chili."

I believe it and he was lucky too. I first tried it when I was 7 years old and really hated it. We had a school song about Sago, Rice & Tapioca. I like rice but totally dislike the other two and so did everybody else in school. That was 65 years ago during a war when there was little food to eat. We still didn't eat it.

I have never eaten it since. But in all fairness to my children 35 years ago I made it, because it's supposed to be good for you. Neither one would eat it after tasting one spoonful.
I recommended that they try my grandchildren with it and their response was "No Way". Perhaps it's an acquired taste.
