Many years ago I was a band booster for my daughter's high school marching band and I worked in the concession stand at the football stadium during football season. We sold corn dogs that were fried in crisco vegetable oil and the corn dogs were very delicious. I don't know what brand of oil used at the circus is but any good quality oil will do well.
