Why is Kerry Katona the face of Iceland?!
Do Iceland shopper see her as a role model? It puts me off shopping there even the store does offer a good range of products.

I have always assumed its to do with their tag line about Mum's going to Iceland and her being seemingly constantly either pregnant or touting some new born brat to the glossies.

She was dropped because she was seen as a mother figure in the Iceland ads and they believe she is not a model mother now because she continued smoking during her pregnancy
She's famous for being in girl band Atomic Kitten, and being married to Brian McFadden of Westlife.
When they first took her on - she was "mum of the year" and Iceland want to promote their shop as a family friendly supermarket - "that's why mum's go to Iceland"
As time went on, however, Kerry went on a downward spiral, and my assumption would be that as Iceland are not as big a company as Asda/Tesco etc, they can't afford to hire the Spice Girls for their adverts, and therefore it's convenient for them to continue to use Kerry - her rates may have dropped a little as well, so she would still be affordable to them.
My understanding now, however, is that she is no longer making any further adverts for them.
Somehow a few years back when she was whacked out of her nut on crack cocaine, booze and painkillers she won the coveted "Mum of the year" award and Iceland approached her...its taken them a few years to realise she's not as maternal as they originally thought.
They are probably in talks with Kate McCann now....

What you or i know about the women is Zilch,you may have read what some hack as put in some tacky so called News paper but you or i do not really know this women,to me she is just a young mother earning a crust for her and her lovely kids.
i agree with you it seem if you have been into drugs they seem to want you to front these things what kind of example are they showing the youth of today, us ordinary folk are trying to set a good example to our kids working hard then these wasters came along and take the lime light i refuse to by anything that involves a famous person who is a known drug user
