Did you watch Jamies Fowl Dinner last night?!
Thanks for your answers
Answers: It really shocked me and opened my eyes as to how cheap chickens and eggs are produced. I am going to buy free range chicken from now on, but how is it possible to completely change over from cheap chicken to free range chicken when a lot of the products we buy contain chicken which obviously contains cheap chicken. The same goes for eggs, although I always buy free range eggs, after watching the programme last night, I've realised that some of the products I buy will contain eggs from battery hens. The labelling on products doesn't give much information either. How do you completely change over?
Thanks for your answers
i have always brought free range eggs, they are dearer , but its my way off doing the right thing . and the thought of buying the products with caged birds eggs horrifies me, i also will buy free range birds, i think its terrible the way our food is produced , but i cant see it changing as most people don't care.
I did watch part of it. Its actually put me off chicken all together. I always buy free range eggs but I don't eat them only use them in cooking cakes etc and give them to my husband. If you are worried about the products you buy, just make them yourself instead of buying processed food.
Yes I did, Sadly it did not come as a shock as for many years I've been involved in animal welfare. I am very happy more people will talk about it now.
Is not just the chickens is all the meat you eat, remember that.
Not a shock to me and I thought the truth about battery chickens was common knowledge.
Free range chicken & eggs are not that much more expensive-but then I don't fill my shopping basket with crisps, biscuits or ready/processed meals.
