Where can I buy 'Square Sausage' (lorne sausage) in Hampshire?!

Question: My boyfriend lives in Glasgow and he wanted Square Sausage for breakfast. As I live in Hampshire I've never heard of it before. Apparently it's minced steak with herbs and spices. It comes in a block which you slice or in pre-cut slices.

We looked in all the large supermarkets local to Portsmouth but without success. He's back in a couple of weeks and would love to be able to get some for him.

Any ideas where?

if you have an iceland frozen food store you can get something very similar there they are not as spicey as the ones in scotland but very close.or ask your local butcher to source them for you.they can get almost everthing and will be happy to have your custom.the are also able to help you know what you can cook them with

iceland try there.

Yes Iceland sell them

Iceland sell them, but they are horrible

Try the butchers, this is just sausage meat isnt it with herbs and that mixed in?

It is widely available north of the border but it is just a cheap meal. Don't know of minced steak - it is more cheap cuts of meat - pork or beef and absolutely full of saturated fat. I wouldn't give it to a dog.

Lidl do a breakfast pack with sliced sausage included very nice and reasonable too!

Farm Foods sell them, it's very nice.

I have not seen any sausage shops for the UK

I think you need a better Name or the brand
check their deli selection they have lots of names
later
I checked DP's web

the sausage is at "DULANO" but they are all round also..

Sainsbury's sell them in Scotland - Edinburgh to be exact. Although still not as good as ones from a butcher they are way better than iceland, farmfoods and so on.
Perhaps if you speak really nicely to them they could maybe have a pack sent down to your local store. I think they are called Square Sliced Sausage (or Scottish Square Sliced Sausage) on the pack, but Lorne sausage is their proper name.
I have to go to a butchers and get a whole lorne (over 1 kilo) anytime I head down south to visit my cousin.
