Stupid Question About Lunch Meat?!
Answers: Can you freeze pre-packaged lunch meat and it still be good when you defrost it? Has anyone done this? I have done it with bologna, but I'm not sure about other lunch meats. I have found a really good deal on lunch meat at my grocery store and I want to buy some, but I don't want it to go to spoil in the fridge.
yes, I freeze pre-packaged lunchmeat all the time. when you need it, just put in fridge to thaw out.
It is fine. Sometimes it gets freezer burn, but that will not hurt you.
Defrost only as much as you need; when meat sits in the fridge bacteria can grow, albeit slowly. You'll be fine.
yes you can freeze it one time then lave itin the fridge to thaout and eat it befor 3 days i buy in bulk all the time if you have a good fridge it should last a long time check it if it gets slimmy on the top its time to toss it
Yes, you can. When you defrost it you will have to dry it off as a lot of the moisture will come out. But otherwise it's OK.
I do it all the time---ham,turkey,etc...
just dont refreeze it, it can give u stomach problems
