Foodies, if you had your own restaurant, what would be your "specialty?!

Question: foods". What would you serve?

Answers: foods". What would you serve?

Italian food:

Fresh baked Italian bread
My husband's gravy
My Nana's meatballs
My auntie's feast of the seven fishes ( only during the holidays)
Baccola (slated cod)
Osso bucco
chicken Florentine
Squid ink pasta
other seafood dishes
other pasta dishes
other chicken dishes
and lots and lost of Italian desserts

Tapas and Barbeque...yum...

Chicken Booyah.

I own a seafood restaurant here on coastal Massachusetts.

I always thought that meatball subs and like chicken parm should be served on garlic bread instead of regular sub rolls, so I always wanted to open a little place and have that as a specialty.

Desserts.

In Astoria, Queens, there is a fantastic Greek section where there are restaurants that ONLY serve desserts and very strong coffee. The tiramisu has the fluffiest of cream, the chocolate is to die for, and the row and trays of baklava and cakes and cheesecakes are mesmerizing. You can walk down the street and it smells like sugar.

We don't have such a thing in England but I would love it. A place open in the evenings only, where you could just sit and have a piece of gourmet dessert, some coffee and tea, and "put the world to rights" as we'd say here. I'm pretty good at making pies, cakes, brownies and cookies but don't know how I would do catering for lots of people...

I would have a Tim Hortons and give Starbucks a run for their money in this community. TH's sell latte's (sp?) and cappu's for about 2/3 the price of Starbucks.
Not to mention TH's have soup & sandwiches where Starbucks falls short.
$$$$ I'm seeing greeeeeen!

Italian. I'm mostly Hungarian, but Italian food is by far the tastiest food known to mankind.

Slow barbecued pork ribs I've been practicing for years.

It would either be a total self-indulgence bakery that has the type of food that is bad for you but taste soooo good, or a restaurant that served food that was really good for you, like fruits and vegtables and whole grains, but made them taste good

i no they're like completely different- i love opposites<3
