Can you FREEZE bought dried deer sausage? How long? Then let it thaw on counter and will taste the same??!

you can freeze it up to a month but after that it is no good i am also a deer lover as well and i have found that out the hard way with food poisioning

you don't need to freeze it, its dried ,keep it a cool airy place cover from flies and it should last for ages

Yes, you can freeze it and reuse it. Thaw it a day ahead in the fridge though........It'll freezer burn in time and won't be as good. (Sometimes NO good) As far as taste and texture goes.
You sound like the perfect candidate for a Food Saver.
Those things are just great. You can buy them on-line cheap or just go get one............Guarantee you will not be sorry.
I held off on one and was wrong. We couldn't live without it now.........That'll keep a deer sausage for probably a year with one of those!..........You'll find a LOT of uses for it.
