Why is it that Hawaii is the largest consumer of SPAM?!

Question: I'm guessing it became popular during the war. I think people had to get used to it, so eventually, people started to like it. Also, meat is expensive in Hawaii, it has to be imported, like most island countries, so perhaps SPAM is a cheap alternative.

Since Hawaii has a relatively low population compared to other States that can only be attributed to the Military personnel based there and tourists, most of whom are American, Japanese & German.

I have only been to Hawaii on two occasions totalling 30 days and I never saw it anywhere.

I actually like Spam but I am not an American or any of the other Nationalities aforementioned. I used to think it was British but I found out last month, reading my tin of Spam, that it is manufactured and distributed in the US.

are you sure? ,get your facts right before you ask a question .I thought my household was the largest consumer of SPAM, my kids eat it until it comes out of there ears, they just love spam fritters and spam mayo sandwiches if you don't believe me then come around and see. I'm thinking of buying shares in the company then some of my profits will pay for some of their spam
