Answers: its to do with global warming the government has realised your eating all the air in the middle of the polos so they have put more tax on them.

oh, i thought they were about 19p.
shows how long its been since i bought any

You need to be minted in order to buy a packet of polo mints these days!

Use the supermarket.

Because they can!
And we are told inflation is running around 2%.

somebody is making a mint

greed by the makers they think we are all flipping rich

is it owned by asians? there's your answer

becuase the shop keeper obviously isnt ripping you off enough, go to a different shop

The hole is smaller!!!

I dont know - I was only answering to crack a corny joke - but wilfred has beaten me to it..lol

the price of holes has gone up!

You buy so many, there's a shortage.

You have no idea how much the cost of a good hole has gone up recently.

You'd expect them to be better quality though, for the money.

Its because of the sharp rise in the price of polo a $100 per barrel . or was that oil.

They are 24p at my local tescos and 38p at another store in my town. Shows how much percentage profit they are making if Tescos can still make a profit on 24p. Its disgusting.
If you have to be careful with money like myself then you notice the price of many foods is rising sharply. Inflation reckons to be 2% because the price of non consumable goods is at this rate, but not food. Those on low incomes are suffering greatly with this.
Something else I've noticed is that my 10p bag of crisps is now 15p - a ridiculous 50% rise
Have you noticed too - some bags of crisps and chocolate bars are getting smaller, while remaining at the same price?

It's either the effects of global warming or the shop keeper is having you for a laugh!

Possibly a combination of things.
The manufacturers (Trebor?) may have been swallowing steady increases in cost for some time - don't forget that fuel and power have gone through the roof in recent years, and in turn this cause a chain reaction.
The end seller also needs to retain a steady percentage mark up, and this may have also increased the price hike, but 10p in a month on such a relatively inexpensive item is totally ludicrous.

Sounds like another of Labour's stealth taxes...
If they can't get the same revenue off smokers, they may as well tax Polo suckers instead.
