What is Green Tea and how is it made ?!


Question: Green tea is lighter and more subtle in flavor then black tea. Are the world's oldest varieties. The Chinese tea, Green Gunpowder, may be the world's tea, at possibly over 5,000 years old. Today in China, Japan and across the east, most of the tea drunk is green. Unlike black tea, green teas are not withered or fermented after they are picked. Instead, after the tea is plucked, the green leaf is steamed (though not always) which kills and curls the leaf. The tea is then generally fired until it is crisp. Green tea is among the least processed of all teas. It has the reputation as the most healthy, and has been connected with reducing the risks of heart disease, strokes, cancers, dementia, healthy skin and teeth, yes TEETH! and lowering bad cholesterol and setting the good at a nice healthy level. Has more antioxidants then black tea. Though white and red has more but, green is more common now then before.There are at least 1,000 varieties of green tea. Often Chinese farmers produce their own tea, and use their own special individual processes. Green has less Caffeine then black, which has less then half of coffee! Green tea is a chinese version of tea, made from leaves.
Though I dont know how to make it.

Green tea is the same stuff as black tea, its just processed differently. There is a great article on tea in Wikipedia.
