Technical question, what quantity is a "dollop" and other than crean what you like to "dollop"!


Question: Depends on the implement. For instance, you could have a dollop of mashed potatoes. That would be a big spoon full. A dollop is a semi liquid thing. You would have a dollop of grits or a dollop of oatmeal but not a dollop of cheerios or a dollop of hamburger. A dollop of mashed potatoes would be larger than say, a dollop of gravy. A dollop of butter might be slightly less than a dollop of raspberry jam.

hmmm my dollop may be bigger than other peoples as i can be greedy :) so mine is roughly a very heaped tablespoon. i like to have a dollop of mint sauce, ketchup, mayo, honey, that's all that springs to mind

a dollop is a good spoon size scoop...depending on how much someone likes it a dollop can be different sizes....its just a word term for a spoonful....give or take a few spoons :)
