Best way to extract honey from honeycomb?!

Question: I had to supervise a bee removal from a structure today and the bee keeper gave me some of the honeycomb. He said the best way to get it out was to put the honeycomb in pantyhose and hang it from somewheres over night and let the honey drip into a bowl. I live in an apartment though and can't really hang it. Any other ideas on how to get the honey out? Thanks!

Tie it to a knob on the kitchen cabinet door and put a bowl on the counter under the honeycomb. You could also put the honeycomb in a strainer and set it over a bowl.

suck it out

kick it over, then run?

Put it in a pot and gently warm it. Best to use a double boiler if you have one. Just stir gently when comb starts to melt when all comb melted let it cool you will have honey with thin sheet of bees wax on top.

Squeeze!

why do you need to extract the honey from the comb, just chew the honeycomb.
