Cooking question..i'm making pasta with ground beef, i dont want a meat sauce just savory ground beef but what!
Answers: can i do about the pasta? i dont want it dry so...? toss it with olive oil? i'm serving the pasta and ground beef with a garden salad, please help i'm cooking now
Brown the beef with some onions, garlic and herbs. Do not drain the fat. Add a bit of broth and let it simmer (optional).
Boil your pasta until it's not quite done. Remove a mug of pasta water, then drain it the pasta. Now put the pasta in the hot meat pan, add some of the pasta water to moisten a litle. Let the pasta finish cooking with the meat over medium high heat, tossing it around. Add reserved pasta water as needed.
This is a very Italian way to make pasta. It finishes in a pan with the "sauce" (which is often not very saucy). The pasta soaks up more flavor that way.
Okay, yes do olive oil but also add some Red Wine Vinegar. The red wine vingar will add some flavor to it. I would also add some garlic and onions, if you haven't already. Hope this helps!

Could add in some chopped onions,salt/pepper and maybe some beef broth or bullion.I make this then thicken the gravy and serve over pasta or rice or even potatoes.Family likes it.
aDD GARLIC AS WELL. Yummy i'm hungry now
Serve your pasta drizzled with Extra virgin olive oil and cracked black pepper with some freshly grated Parmagiano-Regianno, tossed lightly. We refer to this as 'bald' pasta.
Ooh, I like Catie's suggestion...it sounds yummy! Good luck, and I'm sure it will turn out great!
Olive oil with some garlic, maybe a bit of balsalmic vinegar, not a lot, just a splash, salt and fresh ground black pepper.
put sauce on the pasta, and just have the beef separate
or
use clam sause or vodka sauce, or butter and cheese
Try some salsa in the pasta with the beef, sprinkle some cheddar cheese on it with some hot peppers if you like them.
