Little Debbie is actually the grand daughter of the company founder, O.D. McKee.

Aunt Jemima was actually conceived by advertising executives and it is rumoured to be based off of a character and song in a vaudeville show. When another company bought the product, the owner hired a lady named Nancy Green who became a living model for the product and acted out the role of "Aunt Jemima" in ads and at expos.
