I arrange for my old mums shopping to be delivered on-line from Tesco. She lives in Mildenhall near Bury St Edmunds. They give a great service. You need to make sure you reserve the delivery slot early so that you get the time and day you want, so start your shopping on-line a few days before you need the delivery - you can add more things later if you need to. If they have not got what you want in stock they may offer an alternative but will tell you that at your door and you can reject their item if you wish; if you accept the item you pay the price that item is sold for - not for the item you ordered. Good luck

I've been shopping online with Tesco for a couple of years and in all that time I think I've only had a problem once.

If they don't have the item you want they will bring a substitue which you can just refuse if it's not suitable. They will charge you for the cost of the replacement rather than the original if you decide to keep it, but there's no obligation.

Also, there are loads of sites online where you can find promotional codes for free delivery and money off vouchers.

I have shopped on line with Tesco's loads of times, its great never had any problems, if they do not have what you want they will send something similar, the delivery man will point it out and if you don't want it. just give it back to him and the cost is refunded back to you bank account, I found that if you order something and they don't have it and they send you something that costs more they usually charge the same price

I have done shopping online with Tesco a couple of times and have to admit not really impressed - each time lots ot items not in stock and on the bill it say no other item available or similar - ok for an emergency if ill etc but not recommended for all time

I used to shop online with Tesco. The only issue I had with them is that when they had to subsitute items, they usually gave me ones that were totally inappropriate.

Overall, a good service. The only reason that I don't shop with Tesco online anymore is because I didn't want to pay up £5.99 for a delivery when I have a perfectly good supermarket just 5 minutes walk from my flat.

Hi, I shop online most of the time. Tried Tesco's once, but I had a bad experience (they got my address wrong and were trying to deliver my shopping at the other side of the country). A couple of my housemates use Tesco, and I think it's mostly ok, but from what I've seen they can turn up a bit late. Asda has never ever been late with my shopping, what's more, they are usually here within half an hour of the 2 hour delivery slot I'm given.

I saw the other answer, I thought that they actually charged you for the original item's price if you get a substitute. I know with Asda that's the case and I'm sure I've been told Tesco does the same. So if you order something that's worth 50p and they don't have it and replace it with something more expensive, they would just charge the 50p.

it is so good,
what i had was my son sending me a Xmas hamper two years ago. i was very surprised, it saves you time and money, because you are not browsing around and buying unnecessary goods.
and they will send you a replacement item and it is up to you if you want it,so very good.

I have used Tesco's online and they are great. They have always found everything that want, and you are able to state in the edit note section, whether you would would like them to substitute a product if the one that you want is not available. You have the option to find a suitable alternative, look for this item instead... and then specify what you'd like or you don't substitute.

Also if you have any problems you are able to ring the help like for example I order some pasta and the bag had a rip in it so I rang them and told them this and they refunded the price of the pasta.

The service is good and they do come when they say that they will come. However the only problem I found is sometimes they only put one or two items in one bag, so you end up with lots of them. However they now have a button which allows you to opt out of having carriers which is ideal

My sister uses Tesco online and says it's great.

I think I would probably use it for tinned stuff and cleaning stuff but I like to check out the meat and vegetables I'm buying before I pay for them.

Just me being too fussy I suppose

I have been looking at it but you have to spend £50 for free delivery which is a lot more than I spend in one go
