I heard you can clean your microwave with a lemon?!

Question: how do you do this?
do you use the rind or the pulp, my guess is the rind, I tried both and using the pulp was a mess.

You squeeze half a lemon into a cup of water in a microwave safe dish. Then cook the lemon water in the microwave for 5 minutes or so. The lemon water softens the grease and dirt and makes it easy to clean. Wipe with a paper towel - don't use the lemon itself.

I clean my microwave oven with hot, soapy water. Sometimes I add a little bleach.

Then, take a couple of slices of lemon and put them in a cup of water. Nuke for two minutes to eliminate any odors.

You use the juice in the same way you would use a spray cleanser.

Then you wipe clean with clean water.

It's the Citric Acid and the oils from squeezing it.

i prefer eating lemons to cleaning with them, food is for eating after all, but if you enjoy the natural lemon scent and want to try something chemical free its a great idea! i would guess you would use lemon juice thats been strained(eat the pulp or cook with the pulp if you want) the rind would be good if you dont want to use a sponge or rag which can be a good idea because those can spread bacteria.

microwaving plain water will do the same thing as water with lemon juice. The steam will loosen the gunk and you can wipe it out.

you know a good way to clean your microwave? Take a wash cloth....get it wet...and scrub all the crap off the inside...it makes it clean. Trust me I've tried it...
