As I feel that there is NO EXCUSE for this.
And remember this is the UK, and we have the RSPCA... And every news paper you read has adverts for you to give money to charities to save animals from CRUELTY...

i agree entily with you. i have worked in a slaughterhouse and there is know way i would slaughter an animal by just slitting it's throat. and as for vambosth (visit an abbatoir you silly boy) halal abbatoir are completley different from other abbatoirs.

No. If you were to kill an animal in any manner in your garden you would be arrested, why is this way more barbaric, surely you have watched footage from normal slaughterhouses? Once the animals throat is cut it is dead, same as you would be.

Most methods of slaughtering animals are pretty barbaric. In my view the best way is the quickest way. Allowing an animal to literally bleed to death cannot be quick, so therefore I disapprove of this method. However, this escapes the normal rules that apply in this country as it is done for religious observance, given the political climate in the UK this is unlikely to be challenged.
Muslims will eat only Halal meat...Are there no Muslims in the USA.
Why post a question if you decided what the answer is yourself?
If you ate a meal in the NHS or you have a child going to school most probably you or they have eaten halal meat, did you taste the difference? No
well at least Muslim people would rather do the work of ending an animals life quickly rather than you lazy people who KILL animals from Machines!
PS: Willow- there ARE Muslims in USA; you probaly aren't observant to notice that they don't eat McDonalds or KFC
