What are hash browns?!


Question: I eat them all the time... they are fried pieces of potatoes mixed with spices and onions, etc. They are mostly eaten at breakfast and are very yummy!

the basic idea is: potatoes that are cut or shredded into strips and pan fried on the stove.

Many other places have put their own spin on them, using small chunks of potatoes. You can bake or pan fry, you can form into patties and deep fry. You can also add ingredients to them. I am a fan of adding swiss cheese, tobasco sauce, a little bit of salt and pepper and diced ham.

we boil potatoes, leave them cool, then slice them up and fry
them in a skillet. we like these better.
