Answers: do people up north eat chicken and dumplings? (n.c. here)

I did growing up and I miss them.
I've gotta get the RIGHT recipe.

(Full disclosure: My people are originally from N.C.)

I do sometimes, I am from NY but currently live in PA. =]

My mom used to make it when I was little...God I hated it. I've never seen it on a menu though. I'm in Jersey

The only dumplings I eat are from the Chinese restaurant.

well most ethnic backrounds have a version of this, so yeah. my grandma's were very good.

I do but i was stationed in the south.

yup

Absolutely! The recipe is right in the Bisquik box; that's how I learned how to make it. I'm in ND; what's popular here is a variation of the chicken and dumplings - it's called knephla (not sure of the spelling) but it's cream based soup with potato dumplings (very chewy). The chicken and dumplings dumpling is more of a steamed biscuit which is fluffy and light.

yes
everyone does lol
its very yummy
espacially at cracker barrel and everyone has a cracker barrel lol.
God Bless!

I live in Michigan, and yes we do eat chicken and dumplings here, because it is one of our favorite comfort foods! ;-)

I suppose you would consider me up north. I'm in Canada and make a really good chicken stew with dumplings.
