How long does it take to become a bar tender?!

Answers: i want to go try and do that but i don't know how much it cost or how long it takes and least of all were do i take classes for it?

Great question and hopefully I have a great answer:
Depending on where you live, there should be some great bartending schools in your area..check the yellow pages. The cost depends on how long the classes are per class and duration of entire class. In Alaska, Bar Stars was roughly $600 for the 2 month class and worth the penny! I made the $$ back in the first month of bartending.
You learn not only the basics, but how to use a register, credit card machine as well. Many people "make drinks", but to be a real bartender, you learn all about alcohol and even drink in the class on a few nights! Recipes are only 20% of bartending...work ethic and KNOWING people is the majority...personality is where it is! Learn all you can in school so you can show others what it's really about! Have fun most of all!
it just takes a couple of hours and you dont need to poay anything. just apply for a job in any bar and they will train u up on a not so busy day. its so easy, and alot of fun. go for it.
