Is it ok if the papaya taste bitter?!


Question: yes and kind of popular in malasia[im from malaysia a country that have lots of papaya].if it taste bitter it mean its not ripe yet.when its ripe its colour is yelow or orange.if it is orange and taste bitter it means you been fooled by the seller because theres a some kind of thing that is putted in the fruit to make it look like it riped an injection way. 10 Q

I've noticed that a papaya does sometimes taste bitter.

I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's poisonous or rotten. I'd be dead by now. It's just maybe unripe or overripe.

Also, I know some fruits if you water too much before picking tends to have a little bitterness to them. The same with peppers which is also a fruit.
