Now, I personally wouldn't eat it, but there is an unofficial program around here, that if there is a freshly killed deer beside the road, the sheriff will send out a guy who volunteers. He comes out, picks up the deer, dresses it out, and gives the meat to needy folks in the area. Seems like it solves two problems.

no way!

Yes, I hate chasing away the vultures, but there's nothing like a warm meal.

I haven't done it - I don't think I look at a squashed hedgehog and think 'mmm, dinner..' or even reminisce about the crisps..

well i dont see why you should let it go to waste when people in starving countries would gladly eat it. hell id give it a try!

When we were broke and a lot younger yes you need to clear the whole road then next morning go and pick up whats been hit have eaten rabbits and phesents they are fresh because you have cleared the road first.

Well I suppose I would eat anything if I was hungry enough. But as a choice....no.

not a chance

Go for it,I live in the country and I'm always picking up juicy morsels,Hey its free !!I must say when it,s a dear I find it a bit of a hand full !!

yeah as long as it is fresh why not
''dont knock it till you tried it''

Not me.

Depends on what it is. If it's a deer, and it's a fresh kill, like I just saw it hit or hit it myself, then yes. No other animals, and not even deer if I don't know how long it's been there/

I guess it depends on what animal it is. Deer, wild boar, or aligator are all ok by me as long as the meat is still fresh.

No way, would you ?

The question is, would you?

no, but only because I'm vegan, if I had to eat meat I'd rather eat roadkill than kill something solely for the purpose of eating it.

No I would not.
I saw a similar thing on TV a few months ago about how you could (if you wanted) cook pheasant, fox, squirrel, Deer, Badger, cat, dog or any other birds...yuk!!!

as long as it were cooked and had some tasty spices and sides, why not? the term 'roadkill' makes it seem disgusting because everyone is used to seeing bones, popped eyeballs and intestines. but thats not much different from Scrapple or sausage. lets face it: meat is dead animal: blood, veins and muscle tissue. but, it tastes good.

If its fresh and not destroyed by the impact I eat roadkill. I have had roadkill moose, deer, wild turkey, partridge and duck. Usually there is a lot of meat damaged by bruising but the rest is still good.

Once it's minced on one will notice on a McDonalds burger.
