Can i freeze fresh fruits?!
Answers: all up there
Yes..... there are different methods...
1. Spread cleaned fruit on a cookie sheet and freeze.. then put into containers... when you want some you can tap the container and loosen them from each other and take out the desired amount.
2. Buy Fruit Fresh.... and go by the directions.... (my mother use to freeze peaches according to directions and then she would add a little extra sugar. She would put it into small containers.. and would serve it to us in the containers with a spoon....frozen...... and we would watch t.v. scraping at out treat....
yes
Yes, make sure they are stored properly in something that will keep the frost off them, like a ziploc bag.
yes you can but my personal experience is when you thaw them out again they get mushy...
Every summer I freeze, Whole & slices strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, for winter eating and making jams & jelly. I freeze in quantities suitable for my recipes. I put them in freezer bags and lie them on a cookie sheet to freeze as the defrost quicker that. They are also good for purees & smoothies. I don't add sugar at that point. For the purpose I use the fruits mushy is no problem.
I've never had any problems.
