Cookie question. . .please help!!! Thank you!?!

Question: Well, I put the cookies in the oven, I only did three as a test run. The cookies are actually done, and the outside of the cookie is starting to crisp. I took them out cause I didn't want them to burn, and they are STILL too soft to take off the tray, but they're done. . .what gives? Do I just leave them sit out for a minute to get them hard? I'm afraid to put them back in the oven for fear of burning, someone help! THank you :)

You should always leave cookies on the tray for at least two minutes so the middle of the underside finishes cooking. The tops will look done and perfect so take them out but the underside usually needs an extra minute or two but it can get it's heat from the pan.

Good luck! Sounds like you've got a great start!

They're always pretty soft right out of the oven. Maybe they just need to cool or you could cook them for another minute and check them again.

Let them cool for a few min then they'll come off fine
