How do you test if an egg is boiled long enough?!

Question: take it out and spin it on the counter.. if it wobbles its not done

Answers: take it out and spin it on the counter.. if it wobbles its not done

Well for starters an Egg dosent boil...... But the water does that you put it in...

I hope that helps..

Crack it open and have a look

You can't, If you want soft boiled eggs, put in cold water, let come to simmer, egg timer for 4 minutes, nearly always get soft eggs.

yepp spin it if it spins in same spot its done ;)

3 mins = softboiled
5+ mins = hardboiled

let it long enough 15-20 minutes.
I think if you let it more time, it wouldn't be a problem, except that it might crack.
You can check with a spoon to see if it weights enough but you can't really guess.

put the egg in cold water so it does not crack ,bring it to the boil and time it for 3 minutes if you want a soft yolk
i was taught that by my parents when i was a little girl in England and i used to have my bread cut in long strips buttered called soldiers , gee that brings back memories
i live in Australia and i always either poach or fry my egg now

take out of water if water on egg dries quickly its done

bring the water to a boil then depending on how soft or hard you want it..leave it in for 2 minutes for soft and 4+ for hard.

There's actually a couple of methods, for starters, boil the water first, then add the eggs...wait about 10 min, if you have a pair of chop sticks and is good at it, i would try to pick up that egg with that chop stick, if it doesn't then it's not done....another method is the spinning method, believe me it works. A raw egg would just spin slowly, because all the liquids and yolk inside are preventing it to speed up...But a cooked egg spins fast, if it does, put it in a bowl of cold water, so you can peel it easily, hope this helps

put your egg in a small pan of boiling water when the water begins to bubble remove pan from heat source leave for 10Min's for medium sized egg 11Min's for large egg. it should be perfectly cooked,

hold it out of the water and count how long it takes to dry it should only take a few seconds

AFTER 3 AND HALF MINUITES BOILING CUT THE TOP OFF. IF ITS STILL A BIT GOOEY PUT THE TOP BACK ON AND IT WILL CARRY ON COOKING

Be safe and let the egg boil for 20 minutes.

when you take it out of the pan the shell should dry immediately
