Question: I read a story this morning on Yahoo news about food recalls. Why is this information ot made public? What is a good way to know what is safe in your supermarkets? Do we have to check this link daily?

I was aware of the green beans. There is no way to be aware unless we check this site daily or wait until we hear about it from someone else or on the news...
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to keep checking the site.To think,we have to check the food we eat!!!

Check your local or states department of public health web site. Mine has food recalls right on the first page.
