Chicken in oven?!

Question: My husband was getting ready to cook...he put the chicken in the oven for 10 minutes and then realized we had to leave. He turned off the oven and left the chicken in the oven warm for about 2 hours. I'm scared to eat it if he cooks it. Is it safe?

any potentially hazardous food, such as chicken, should not be exposed to 40-140 degree temperature for more than 4 hours. even though your chicken was at that temp for only 2 hours...i would play it safe and not eat it.

sorry, but I certainly wouldn't risk it

chuck it out

If it was my chicken, then I would not throw it away. I would go ahead and cook it but cook it a little longer (about 10 minutes more) to make sure that it is well done.
