Edible 2-Years Old Rice Krispie?!


Question: I have rice krispies that are about 2 years old. Its wrapping still seems air tight, it smells ok, has a slightly funky after taste. Is it still good to eat?

Probably still edible, although slim but possible the RK's could be infected with the C. difficile bacteria and that wouldn't be pretty. Severe stomach cramping & diarrhea.
Some weat and grain products contain certain bacteria and if left in the right conditions can be the perfect breeding ground for growth. I would stay clear of them just to be on the safe side.

Still edible but definitely stale.

NO!! Thats just gross

Were they never opened? If they weren't they are fine... Besides who knows how long they sat in a warehouse on in the grocery store...
If they had been opened before they are still edible but probably stale!

personally i would buy new ones, why risk it?!
