Can someone make good money making tamales?!

Question: There is a big discussion on the yahoo food page about Rachel Rays Tamale recipe.
I know tamales take a lot of time and labor and are expensive to make.
You would have to be fast to make a living selling them.
It took me and two others a good day to make 15 dozen and it cost me $63 plus labor.
I sold mine for $15/dozen.
That's triple the cost not counting the labor.
I am thinking they sell for $10/doz around the heart of North Carolina.
What are tamales selling for in the states?
