Do unopened canned veggies go bad ?!
Answers: Ex. date '03.....
maybe u should smell it first before u eat it
Eventually, yes, because the seal in the can doesn't last forever. The food usually tastes old as well. If it's more than 4 years old, I'd toss it. If it is dented at all or you see any rust at all, doesn't matter how old, toss it for safety.
throw it away...
but food in cans should expire in like 10 years but you never know how old it was from '03...it could've been three years old already when you bought it?
Yes eventually, but they often keep longer than expiry date, which is merely indicative. In fact the expiry date is set erring on the safe side, corporate liability and all that.
they put the ex date to show you how long they've been their .i've seen my brother eat a can of pork n beans that was well over the ex date by 5 years .he didn't get sick they actually tasted good .
I've never had a can of vegetables go bad. Sometimes I have them for a long time. I'm 70 years old and I like to have my favourites in the pantry in case I take the notion.
I pretty much stick with the expiration dates listed on the cans and trash the ones that are old.
