Where can i buy fortune cookies?!
Answers: does safeway or w.e other convenient stores have em? san francisco by the way..
At any Asian market in large bags.
Any of the grocery stores carry them look in the section that has Chinese food ......
Sams Club sells it here in Ohio. You can als order them online and have your own fortunes put in them.
Surprisingly, Walmart has them.
If you want the good authentic ones by them at your local Chinese restaurant. Ask them if you could buy fortune cookies and trust me they won't say no.
Meijier hass them, Kroger, Walmart, sams, and online.
All grocery stores sell them by the bag--well the big chain grocery stores anyway. You can also order them in bulk on the net.
if you want taste and quality, go to lotus fortune cookies. they are a modern manufacturer, located at 14 Otis St (btwn12th St & Mission St) in SoMa

according to this review, you can buy cookies at $7 a bag, but you can get the rejects at $3.
here's some trivia, in 1964, edward louie of Lotus Fortune Cookie was the first to automate the manufacture of fortune cookies by inventing a machine that places a fortune into a cookie and folds it into shape . eddie died in 1990, but his machine lives on.

if you want kitsch, you can visit the golden gate fortune cookie factory. it's a small factory, and all the cookies are handmade and hand folded; thus may not be uniform in shape. they are located at 56 Ross Alley in chinatown/union square

Go to Chinatown (Kearny Street) and buy them there!
Definately you have to get the original fortune cookies! Don't go with the cheap imitations as they taste bad and the messages are crap messages (I've had the experience). I get mine at http://www.AussieFoodShop.com they have the original Kong Foo Sing ones. They are perfect with tea/coffee, after dinner, at parties, with BBQ's, whenever people get together. Try them you won't be disappointed but beware of the imitation Kong Foo. Kelly
