Life is too short to worry about such things. When I was a server at Outback Steakhouse I used to have guests that would either a: bring in their own or ask for plastic cutlery, or b: ask for a mug of hot water so they could soak our cutlery in it before they used it. Restaurants have commercial dishwashers that use water that is above 165 deg. and use sanitizing dish soap. The water they were soaking their cutlery in was about 110 deg, which probably did nothing but add bacteria to the cutlery. Wise up people... EDIT: Clare, actually yes, I have had that request before, which we denied because we didn't keep paper plates and bowls around.
not at all cause i am the dishwasher in the house and i know i get em clean!...but i understand your fears.....
Yes, we do! We do all those stuff of cleaning. But still there's a question mark for everything. So there's no way than to pray to GOD to save us from any contamination. After all there is no mightier than GOD himself. So help us GOD!
all the time i am a freak like that
I always give my spoon a good licking before I use it.
My half-brother's mum once said something I very much liked: Half of your health is cleanliness, the other half is dirt. It's not good to be too sterile. Sure, I avoid using dirty cutlery, or stuff other people have used, but I'm really not that bothered about using it if I have to. Builds up your immune system anyway. :P
I usually eat at home with flatware I've washed so I know how clean it is. When I eat out, I don't worry about how clean the spoon is, unless I can see it's not sparkling clean.
I don't know why someone would worry about their flatware being clean in a restaurant, yet not worry about the plates, bowls, glasses and mugs used to serve their food. Do the people that use plastic cutlery at Outback, also want their food served on paper plates? LOL
