Scared of Fish?!?!?!?!

Question: This may sound really weird, but here it goes....

This summer on the beach I was swimming in the ocean and a minno jumped into my mouth, and I swallowed it! So ever since, I've been slightly scared of fish, and being in the ocean.

SO... heres my problem, in a few years I would like to travel to places like Italy and Australia, but I am pretty sure that their main meals aren't chicken and cow. I also, get tired of eating the same old thing. I would like to try sea food, but I don't know where to begin. Also, I don't know the texture or smell or anything... which might make me gag when i try to eat it.

ughhhhh.

Any help.... PLEASE!?!?!?!?

Hey no problem, look im puerto rican and have had many types of seafood, and I have fallen in love with it. A good way to start is just some fish fillets, shrimp is good not a bad texture and good fried, sauteed etc... Calamari is good, crab is really good. all have good textures. Lobster is the king of seafood, steamed with garlic butter sauce....Just start trying things, i know that an experience like that is weid, but iot happenes, thats some good food youre missing! Oh another type of fish to eat, is grilled Mahi mahi! Good luck! Hope this helped

Minnows are not in the ocean.

try going to a restaurant that specializes in fish, but not any chain restaurants like red lobster, or fried fish places like long john silvers. and when there, ask the waitress to recommend something with a soft flavor, i would recommend mahi-mahi a fish off the coast of hawaii. very delicate flavor and if prepared correctly, no fishy flavor or smell whatsoever.

Seafood isn't the only food available in Australia, in fact it is pretty expensive.

Beef, pork, lamb and chicken are all readily available plus you can even get kangaroo steaks at the supermarket.

Why don't you start your fish adventure with a can of tuna, that doesn't look too scary.

Paleeze,gimee a break,I don't buy this !!

Your question is a little odd. You certainly don't type like a 5 year old. I wouldn't be too concerned about what you are planning on doing in a few years. If you could just explain to me how it was possible for a minnow to be in the ocean (usually rivers, streams & lakes) and how it managed to jump into your mouth and after that how or why you swallowed it and if it happened all that quickly, how do you know it was a minnow..
