What happens if you don't drink water?!
Answers: I know what happens but I hardly drink water ever, (I don't really care for it) so today I decided I would drink nothing but water. No sodas, no coffee. Also no fried foods because that's all I've been eating since May. I feel infinitely better and I'm munching on some Nature Valley something bar. I feel "clean" and I want to know if it actually makes you feel better or is it physcological. I know that isn't spelled right and spell check didn't correct it. Tell me how to spell that please. Now all I got to do is quit smoking. Last pack, I promise.
No, it's not just psychological.
The water will help you flush your system of toxins, as well as replenish the healthy flesh of your body.
water is needed to rehidrate our skin and organs. we need water to flush our liver to remove all impurities it removed from all the liquids we take in.
You die. yada ya..
what ever he said it's all true.
psychological is how you spell it. and to answer your other question:
Water can protect you from heat exhaustion. Drinking water helps keep your skin, eyes, mouth and nose moist. It also removes waste and transports nutrients.
Your body is made up of approximately 60 percent water; it accounts for about 50 percent of body weight in women. You lose nearly 10 cups of water every day through breathing, sweating, urine and stool.
To replace the water you lose, you may need to drink up to eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day. Physically active people should add one to three cups of water for each hour of activity.
If water you lose isn't replaced, you can become dehydrated. Thirst, headache, fatigue and weakness are all signs that your body may be running short of available water. Extreme dehydration can cause muscle spasms and kidney failure and death.
Although water is a necessary part of any diet, it doesn't have to be boring. You can get the amount of water you need from a variety of beverages and foods. Skim milk, fruit juice and other water-based drinks can help keep your fluid level high. It's best to limit beverages with caffeine, such as certain soft drinks, tea and coffee, because large amounts of caffeine act as a mild diuretic and can cause increased water loss through urine.
water is the essencial building block of all life,,, our bodies are made of 70% water,,,, without water, (liquids) we die dehydrate,,,,,,
Man is made up mostly of saline. We need water and we need salt. Water cleanses the system and removes impurities and assists the digestive system to performs it's functions as well well as the bowel, liver, kidneys. The salt attempts to retain water so that we don't dehydrate. The body needs to balance itself as well as possible.
I'm really not a 'food or nutrition nut' but perhaps it would be better to really take a good look at what a balanced diet is in order that you're not depriving your body of essential nutrients.
Quitting smoking? If you can do that....you can do anything.
That's the tough nut to crack.
Not only will you feel better but you wash alot of toxins out that or bad for you. Your Kidneys and Bladder really do need water, and your body is mostly made of water. So unless you want your organs to shut down eventually, drink water
Simply put: If you don't drink water you will become dehydrated.
More complete: Dehydration occurs when you lose more fluid than you take in and your body doesn't have enough water and other fluids to carry out its normal functions.
Besides the more serious effects of dehydration (fever, kidney failure, seizures, loss of consciousness, etc), some symptoms of mild dehydration include muscle weakness, headache, sleepiness and tiredness. You may have been suffering from mild dehydration. Your increased water consumption is helping you feel "infinitely better" and "clean" because your body doesn't have to struggle to perform its necessary functions, and you no longer suffer the effects of dehydration.
So, it's not "psychological," but you will reap some psychological benefits from a healthy lifestyle.
As a note, you can suffer from OVERHYDRATION, also called water excess or water intoxication. This can occur when there is too much water in your body which causes a saline imbalance. Drinking too much water rarely causes overhydration, but it's a good idea to stick to the recommended consumption amount for your gender, activity level and lifestyle (see below).
your body needs water.... if you don't like the taste of plain water you can always drink tea, and you can drink the water with a little lemon or lime in it.... drink soda but sparingly and don't drink the non diet kind because it has way to much sugar.... i try and drink 4 half litre bottles of water a day....
